Dr. Ngategize holds a PhD and Masters’ Degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and has held various academic, policy, and management positions within and outside Uganda. He joined the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development in 2005 as an Economic Advisor to the Minister of Finance. Dr. Ngategize is currently the Head of, the Private Sector Development Unit (PSDU) in the ministry.
He is familiar with many donor policies and financing modalities including FAO, KfW, Danida, World Bank, European Union, Austria, Sweden, USAID, and the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research.
Christopher Sebatta is an agricultural economist by profession. He holds a BSc. (Agriculture), MSc. Agricultural Economics, and a PhD research fellow at Makerere University, College of Agri cultural & Environmental Sciences, and Dept. of Agribusiness & Natural Resource Economics.
He has over 10 years of professional experience in economic analysis of smallholder agricultural production systems.
He has consultancy experience with Government ministries and agencies, UN Agencies and other international Organisations and CGIAR agencies including; FAO, UNICEF, COMESA, ILRI, NARO, EAC, ICRISAT, CIAT WelthungerHilfe, USAID, Abi-Trust, Bioversity International, CIMMYT, and NCBA-CLUSA, among others.
Ezra Nayoga is a Civil Engineer professional with over 19 years of experience in engineering. Ezra has participated in a vast number of engineering projects that range from designing and supervising roads, commercial buildings, residential buildings, and hospitals.
He has executed projects under a number of Funding Agencies like the World Bank and African Development Bank. Ezra has Bachelor in Civil Engineering (MUK), a Post Graduate Diploma(UMI), and is pursuing a Masters in Management Studies (UMI). Ezra is a registered Engineer with the Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers, Engineers Registration Board, and American Society of Civil Engineers.
He is also a certified Project Manager Professional under the Project Management Institute.
Godwin holds a master’s Degree in development studies, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies (project planning and management). He has 18 years of work experience and is currently the Manager of Gender and Community Development at KCCA.
Past roles include Program Officer Youth Livelihood Program (Kampala Metropolitan Region), Centre Manager at The Aids Support Organization
(Mbarara & Rukungiri) leading a team of 102 staff in the implementation of community development programs.
His expertise and skills are in community mobilization & development, human resources, and administration, organizational management, effective resource mobilization & utilization, program design, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, and partnership building.
Viola Muhumuza Othieno is a Certified Professional Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), holds an MBA from the University of Hull UK, is a Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) – the UK, and a trained Balanced Scorecard Professional. Viola specializes in strategic planning & execution and has over 10 years of experience in developing and executing strategies in both private and public institutions.
She is currently the Director of Executive Programs, MAT ABACUS Business School and has consulted for several institutions including; PAU, Centenary Bank, and Red Cross Rotary Club Blood Bank of Mengo. Past roles include Manager Strategy and Performance Monitoring, National IT Authority Uganda (NITA), Marketing Manager –International, Roaming and Interconnect (Airtel Uganda), and Product & Services Coordinator (MTN Uganda).
Eddie holds a Master’s Degree (Public Administration & Management) and two Post Graduate Diplomas (Education and Business Management. He is a national expert on strategic and business management processes. He has over 15 years of grounded professional experience in the provision of expert assistance to international, national, government, and private sector organizations.
He has provided business development services with projects funded by; USAID (Techoserve), ENABEL (formerly BTC), Private-Not-For-Private Health Facilities in Rwenzori and Arua, MDAs with support from DANIDA and International Labor Organization (ILO). He has previously worked with the Civil Society Capacity Development Programme of GIZ (NIRUS –IP and ACADRI) providing expert module development, training, and coaching national and sub-national organizations in management for results and impact, and financial sustainability.
Jean is a regional and international private sector facilitation and development specialist specializing in program development and management, investment, and trade law with over 35 years of experience in policy, regulatory and institutional reforms. With a master’s in Law from Makerere University (Jurisprudence, International Economic Law, and International Human Rights), Jean has advised governments, development partners, private sector entities, and groups and has led and supported teams to design and implement private sector-oriented programs for conflict-affected states, developing countries and regional groupings (COMESA and EAC).
Her skills in legal analysis and legislative drafting, policy and regulatory analysis, and reforms of key sectors of the economy make her a proficient legal and private sector development researcher.
Marsiale holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Policy and Management (MUK). He is a highly qualified Socio-Economist with more than 8 years of work experience in economic policy research in the areas of international finance and investment, fiscal policy, developing business and market plans, project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
He is a highly recommended socio-economic researcher with excellent research skills and experience obtained from working with Think Tanks, consultancy firms, and NGOs. He has led various research teams contracted by governments, international organizations, and NGOs.
Amos is a Chartered Financial Analyst with an MBA in Finance, ACCA, and holds two Bachelor’s degrees (Commerce and Applied Accounting). He has over 10 years of experience in the financial sector having worked for both local and international banks. Other areas of expertise include business advisory and restructuring, feasibility studies, project proposals and business valuations, financial accounting and management accounting, financial management investment appraisal, investment setup and funding, treasury, asset and liability management, product analysis and profitability, capacity building and professional training, development of product and credit policies and microfinance. Amos is currently a consultant with ADB (Abidjan), Anchor Associates, and others. He also lectures MBA and ACCA students and others at the East African School of Taxation.
Patrick holds a master’s Degree in Political Economy and Government (UK) and is a renowned Private Sector Development & Policy Reform Specialist. His experience of over 40 years has seen him work locally in Uganda and internationally.
His past roles include Coordinator, Zambia Investment Climate Program (ICP) under the World Bank; Project Manager, Regulatory Best Practices Program, Ministry of Tourism Trade & Industry, Government of Uganda; Deputy Project Manager, Deregulation Project, Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development. The latter two roles were funded by DFID. Patrick’s past consultancies include the Tanzania Business Environment Program, Sudan Investment Climate Program, Malawi Investment Climate Program, Kenya Accountable Devolution Program, Rwanda Investment Climate Program, and several others under the Word Bank Group.
He is currently a Consultant for, Ghana Investment Climate Program and the Somali Investment Climate Program Phase 2.
