She has worked with UN Women, UNDP, UNICEF
and UNFPA to design curriculum in countries
such as South Sudan, ESARO, Liberia, Lesotho,
Ethiopia, Rwanda and Uganda.
She has also worked with different universities
and training institutions in training their academic
staff and supporting curriculum design and
development in different fields such as law,
peace & security, gender, medicine, pharmacy,
technology, and education.
She has designed over 20 curricula that are currently in use. Her work includes needs assessments utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, high level meetings with line ministries, training of experts, developing training programs, piloting and implementation support. Gillian holds a BA in education with a focus in Economics; a master’s degree in Advanced curriculum studies, and PhD in Educational Anthropology from Makerere university and Columbia University in New York, USA respectively. Her training enables her to design transformative and culturally responsive training programs and provides a unique perspective towards institutional frameworks that support growth and development.
