Wilson is an economist formerly with the government of uganda as the economic advisor to the minister of finance, planning and economic development, dynamic skilled banker with 26 years working experience of which 20 years have been spent in commercial banking, microfinance and operations management; Has had a successful track record in managing multiple banking functions 13 years’ experience on senior management teams; drawing and implementing strategic plans; preparing budgets and financial reports; managing and leading personnel to achieve set targets; transforming financial institutions into regulated institutions; and delivering quality programs and campaigns that enhance brand awareness. An economic analyst on topical issues like the national budget, trade and investment, agriculture financing and SME development on media houses both print and electronic. He has authored journals and articles on key economic topical issues, for example in SME development in LDCs and agriculture financing. He has presented papers on many occasions locally and internationally on economic topics, for example, a paper on financial inclusion at the recently concluded UN Midterm Review of the Istanbul Programme of Action for LDCs in Turkey.
